from Q&A with KnA“Whatever form any devotee seeks to worship with faith, that same faith I make unshakable in him.” This is one of the most generous verses in world scripture. The one Reality does not insist on being approached under a single name; it steadies whatever sincere faith is offered, under whatever form, and — through the boon granted by that lesser worship (7.22) — draws the worshipper gradually towards itself. Every honest path is thus quietly underwritten by the same Presence. It is the seed of 4.11 (“in whatever way people approach Me, so do I receive them”) and 9.23.
