from Q&A with KnANot every seeker longs for Mokṣa; there is an evolutionary range among seekers too. Some practise yajña — the ancient counterpart of sādhanā — to enjoy the subtler pleasures of life. Bhoga here may mean such enjoyments: the heightened pleasure that follows austerity, the subtler joy of the arts, the skill of extracting more happiness from a situation, of managing people and circumstances, of making a living by sensitive and efficient means. Aiśvarya covers the powers — the occult and the divine — such as telepathy, clairvoyance, levitation, foresight, manifestation, and the like, said to come from the higher yajñas. The other, commonest class simply wishes to reach the heavens and over-indulge in their luxuries, where there is no morality at all. (This is taken up again at 9.20.)
