He who sees the Supreme Lord existing truly in all beings, and the Imperishable among the perishable, sees indeed.

13.27Echoing samatā.

“He sees truly who sees the supreme Lord dwelling equally (samaṃ) in all beings, the undying amid the dying.” The equal vision of 5.18 and 6.29 returns, now grounded in the field-knower analysis: the field differs infinitely (a worm’s body, a sage’s body), but the knower is one and the same in all. To see equality is not to deny the obvious differences of the fields, but to see the single Lord shining undivided through them all (recall 13.16, “undivided, yet as if divided”).
