Translation
Swami Gambhīrānanda · follows Śaṅkara-bhāṣyaO Supreme Lord, so it is, as You have spoken of Yourself. O Supreme Person, I wish to behold Your divine form.

“As You have declared Yourself to be, O Supreme Lord, so it is; yet I desire to see Your lordly Form (aiśvaraṃ rūpam).” This is the honest student once more (compare 10.12). He does not doubt the words; he wants the seeing. The Gītā honours this — realisation (vijñāna, aparokṣa anubhūti) is not the same as belief, however well-argued, and the sincere seeker rightly hungers for the direct experience that alone convinces the marrow.
