Themes
from The Thematic Companion to the Bhagavad GītāMeaning — Questions & Solutions
from Q&A with KnA10.8“I am the origin of everything; from Me all proceeds.”
“Ahaṃ sarvasya prabhavo, mattaḥ sarvaṃ pravartate — I am the source of all; from Me everything moves forth. Knowing this, the wise, full of feeling (bhāva-samanvitāḥ), worship Me.” Note that the response to metaphysical knowledge is not more analysis but bhāva — devotional feeling. The correct reaction to “everything comes from Him” is love, not a lecture. This is the chapter’s quiet thesis: knowledge of His glory naturally melts into worship.
