from Q&A with KnA“Whatever being is glorious, prosperous or mighty — know that to spring from but a spark of My splendour (mama tejo-‘ṃśa-sambhavam).” And the seal (10.42): “But what need have you of all this detail? I stand supporting this entire universe with a single fragment of Myself (ekāṃśena).” Here is the chapter’s overwhelming close. The whole dazzling cosmos, all its glories together, is not even the whole of Him — it is one fragment. He is not exhausted by His creation; He infinitely exceeds it. The mind that was given handholds is now shown that the handholds are less than a millionth of the mountain — and so is turned from counting glories to bowing before the Immeasurable. Which is exactly the state in which Arjuna asks, in canto 11, to see.
