Translation

Swami Gambhīrānanda · follows Śaṅkara-bhāṣya

The Blessed Lord said, O best of the Kurus, now, according to their importance, I shall describe to you My own glories, which are indeed divine. There is no end to My manifestations.

श्रीभगवान् ने कहा -हन्त अब मैं तुम्हें अपनी दिव्य विभूतियों को प्रधानता से कहूँगा। हे कुरुश्रेष्ठ मेरे विस्तार का अन्त नहीं है।।

“So be it — I shall tell you My divine glories (vibhūti), but only the chief ones, Arjuna, for there is no end to My extent.” The disclaimer is important: the list that follows is not a complete inventory (that is impossible) but a sampler, a few representative sparks. K names the best-in-class not because He is only there, but because the mind grasps the whole through its most luminous instances.
