10.10“I give knowledge to those who worship Me with love.”

“To these, ever-united and worshipping with love (prīti-pūrvakam), I give the buddhi-yoga by which they come to Me.” A crucial reversal of the usual order. We assume knowledge must come first, and love follow. Here love comes first, and God Himself supplies the knowledge in response — He becomes the inner teacher. The devotee is not left to reason his own way to the summit; the grace he has earned by love is the very intelligence that carries him home (see 10.11). Bhakti, sincerely offered, draws down jñāna.
