9.15Worshipping the One, or the Many.

“Others, too, worshipping by the sacrifice of knowledge (jñāna-yajña), adore Me as the One, as the many, and as the universal form facing everywhere.” Kṛṣṇa quietly authorises the whole range of higher worship. One may adore the Reality as sheer non-dual Oneness (ekatvena), or as the many gods and forms through which it shines (pṛthaktvena), or as the single all-facing cosmic whole (viśvatomukham). None is condemned; each is a valid mode of the jñāna-yajña, suited to a different temperament — the very inclusiveness that will be argued out in Canto 12 between the worship of the formless and the worship of the form.
