7.30“At the time of death also.”

“Those who know Me as the adhibhūta, the adhidaiva and the adhiyajña — they, steadfast in mind, know Me even at the hour of death.” The chapter ends by pointing straight into the next. The one who has known the Reality behind the physical, the divine and the sacrificial orders does not lose that knowledge at the last, most disorienting moment; his mind, long trained, holds firm as the body falls away. The technical terms are defined at the start of Canto 8, and the art of “dying well” is its central theme.
