from Q&A with KnAArjuna is in a genuine bind. Kṛṣṇa has praised the Yoga of Wisdom and told him to give up all desire to gain peace; yet he has also told him not to abandon his svadharma as a Kṣatriya, but to fight to his last breath. To Arjuna this looks paradoxical. “With these seemingly mixed words you bewilder my understanding. Tell me decisively the one path by which I may attain the highest good (śreyas).” The confusion is real and honest — and it is exactly the confusion the rest of the chapter is written to dissolve.
