But the deep-rooted relish for pleasure in those objects does not. The seeker (sādhaka) may refrain from indulgence, yet even unknowingly the craving for pleasure is not extinguished. The only way to rise beyond it is to “see” the Beyond — to reach a higher Bliss from whose standpoint these worldly pleasures look insignificant. With the firm knowledge of that greater bliss, even the residual taste-desires vacate their house.
