Translation

Swami Gambhīrānanda · follows Śaṅkara-bhāṣya

For the death of anyone born is certain, and the rebirth of the dead is certain. Therefore, you should not grieve over an inevitable fact.

हिन्दी अनुवाद — Swami Tejomayānanda

जन्मने वाले की मृत्यु निश्चित है और मरने वाले का जन्म निश्चित है; इसलिए जो अटल है अपरिहार्य - है उसके विषय में तुमको शोक नहीं करना चाहिये।।

2.27Birth and death are pre-ordained.

“All that is born shall die; all that dies shall be born.” This cyclical nature of creation and destruction is, in essence, saṁsāra, and it is fundamental to the theory of karma. No one escapes karma — no avatāra, no human, no god, no seeker, no ṛṣi, no beast, no plant, no insect. No life is exempt from this Law. Only those who have died inwardly — in whom the ego, the “I”-sense, is dead while the body still lives (jīvanmukta) — have a choice, having transcended the cycle and reached the Ultimate Abode reiterated in the cantos to come. All others, retaining their little sentient ego and their identity as individuals, remain bound to the loop of karma.
