There are two kinds of people in the world: the mutable and the immutable. The mutable consists of all things; the one existing as Maya is referred to as the immutable.

15.16Two enliveners?

“There are these two Persons (puruṣau) in the world: the perishable (kṣara) and the imperishable (akṣara). The perishable is all beings; the imperishable is called the unchanging (kūṭastha).” The Gītā sets up a Sāṅkhya-style pair: kṣara-puruṣa, the whole realm of changing, dying beings (the field, Prakṛti’s products); and akṣara-puruṣa, the unchanging witness that stands unmoved through all change (the kūṭastha of 6.8). But — crucially — the Gītā will not stop at two, as pure Sāṅkhya might.
