“Fix your mind on Me alone, let your intellect dwell in Me; thereafter, without doubt, you shall live in Me alone (mayy eva niveśayasva).” The verse repeats “in Me” like a heartbeat. It states the ideal rung — total, effortless absorption of both manas (mind/feeling) and buddhi (intellect/will) in Him. For the one who can do this, nothing further is needed; he already dwells in God. But K knows most cannot begin here — and so the ladder descends.
