from Q&A with KnA“…of these, whose thought is absorbed in Me, I become before long the deliverer (samuddhartā) from the ocean of the death-bound round of Saṃsāra.” The promise is speed and rescue. Where the seeker of the Unmanifest labours long against the current, the devotee is lifted out — God Himself reaches into the ocean and draws him up. Grace does for the devotee what unaided effort must do for the abstractionist. This is the compassion-mechanism of 10.10–11 restated as salvation.
